I came to Lightfoot Coaching as a relatively new runner, frustrated with my current coaching situation. The program I was following wasn’t working — I wasn’t progressing and couldn’t handle the mileage needed to prepare for the 100K race I had signed up for. A friend told me about Jade, and after just a couple of text exchanges, I knew she would be a great fit!
Jade goes far beyond writing a weekly training plan. She checks in regularly about fueling, hydration (before, during, and after runs), fatigue levels, recovery, and overall well-being. Her approach is thoughtful, holistic, and tailored to me as an athlete.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve learned so much and achieved goals I never thought possible. Since starting my journey with Jade, I’ve completed three 100-mile races — with two more already on the calendar! Running 100 miles was once a long-term dream I hoped to do just once, but now I’m hooked and can’t wait for the next one.
None of this would have been possible without Jade’s guidance, support, and belief in me.

Lightfoot Coaching has changed the way that I view trail running. Since working with Jade, I have become a more holistic runner, better paying attention to every facet of the sport. Lightfoot has designed training to support my strengths and preferences, while always encouraging me to step outside of my comfort zone and explore my perceived weaknesses – turning those weaknesses into strengths. Within weeks of working with Jade, I started to notice speeds and times that I thought I’d never reach again. As the weeks turned to months, I’ve become a stronger, faster runner, adopting better mindsets about the sport and training in a risk-adverse, injury-free way throughout the year. Working with Lightfoot Coaching has elevated every part of my running. Coach Jade has curated my training in a thoughtful, smart, structured, and tailored way leading to huge progress in both fitness and race performance. Additionally, Coach Jade’s gear expertise has helped me to dial in everything from shoes to fueling strategies. Beyond the workouts, the community calls led by Coach Nick have been incredibly impactful. We dig into sports psychology topics that have helped me build practical mental tools like reframing, goal setting, managing pre-race nerves, and DBT skills to name a few. These skills have not only helped in athletic performance, but have carried over into other areas of my life. The community calls also make me feel connected to a group of like-minded athletes who share the same drive and curiosity to improve. Lastly, what really sets Lightfoot Coaching apart is their care and compassion for me as an individual. The training, gear expertise, and mindset work got me in the room but what keeps me is the love I feel.
